On feast days girls from Rejdová used to wear special haircut called “pletky” composed of two pigtails tied up under ears and on wedding they used to cut them of and were leaved as heritage for daughters. Haircut was added by tall wreath crown. Wreath was also a part of heritage passed from generation to generation. Depicted wedding wreath is 67 years old it was made by Mrs. Dovalovská on her wedding day. Since her 15 years she is making a folk dresses and wreaths for whole region. As she has spoken to us “we were disassembling and again assembling wreaths and if we were out of colourfull flowers we had made them of paper soaked in paraffin. Feathers and mirrors cannot be missed on “parta”.
Till this time its still more then 20 traditional wreaths in village. Full embroidery of Rejdová is characterised by floral patterns mostly used on men´s fur. These motives were central inspiration for this painting.
