HRAŠNÉ

Dominant coulours on painting are green and yellow, which are also typical colours of young woman of Hrašné clothes. Green is representing the life, hope and youth. Yellow was suppose symbolize sun´s lifegiving power. With sun are also conected magical rituals. In some locations was a tradition to walk around the oven of husband´s house in direction of sun. Painted “parta” was made in 1931 and it can be used only on wedding day. Its composed of 5 parts. Cloth headband crafted with glass pearls, flowers made of satin stripes with green and white colour and wreath. Back part was composed of “dienko” (wooden plate) which was covered by fresh rosemary, satin ribons and tiny pearls. On bottom part were pinned down long handmade stripes which were reaching to brides loins. Interesting fact on painting is “pruclek” (folk vest) and its closing. In whole Kopanice region it used to be completely closed but after second world war begins to use only top one and last two buttons.
