In the village of Svätý Peter “parta” was called Gyöngyös koszorú and it was worn approximately from the year 1920. The bride’s dress was made from a black silk at that time. “Parta” was made like a wedding wreath, only brides could have it on her head during the wedding day. It consisted of white canvas flowers, blown silver beads that were moulded into a small circle, yellow beads, green leaves and golden glossy threads. The base of “parta” is made from a coarse wire that was wrapped in a ribbon. The originally preserved parta is from the year 1923 and is 95 years old. “Parta” was specially placed into a wooden frame behind the glass in the so-called “ómárium”. The last brides were getting married in the years 1940-1942. Later, “parta” was replaced with floral wreaths made of artificial flowers and with wedding veils. In the village, there is only one last “parta”. On the painting, you can see wedding parta of Mrs. Acsai. The Kovacs family brought this “parta” to the photo shooting.
