PARCHOVANY
Typical for lower Zemplín region are needlework of floral motives in shade of purple, pink, blue and yellow colour. On painting you are able to see floral motives which has been taken from tablecloth “chlebovka” used for wedding pie. Wreath was worn as head decoration for bride only on wedding night. Base of it was wire dressed in white cloth added with wax flowers, glass beads, white stripes which were pinned by brooches and also fresh green leaves. Hairs under wreath were in back covered by white stripes which were tied in pigtail on whole lenght of brides hairs. Night before wedding was tradition to make a haircut of tiny pigtails to gain effect of curly hair under the wreath. Till these days are only 2 traditional wreaths left in village.
