Painting on brides face came from contemporary wedding dress. On painting you are able to see intersection of city dressing into folk type of dress. Little opened model´s lips suppose to symbolize lust for change in life, sort of expectation. Endless pattern on paintings, in shape of lace made of white tulips and gypsophile in folk language called brides veil, suppose to represent a virginity and pureness of bride. Virgin bride used to have tied in wreath also a fresh rosemary. In village is stored only last one replica of wedding wreath which you can admire on this painting. Based on study from second half of 20. century was found that “parta” used to be worn since middleages. Wreaths then were fully decorated with various beads made of glass or bones. Wreaths around 1940 were made of wax flowers joined by cloth leaves and beads.
